1812 regency gown. Made from a very thin brown muslin with a narrow white stripe. No lining. The front gathers in to the center with a drawstring and there is a drawstring leading from the front to the back along the neckline as well. Fastens in back with hooks. Skirt is five angled pieces to add fullness at bottom. The long sleeves are removable, only whipped in. Extremely simple construction which was finished in a weekend workshop!
So lovely! I have a special liking for dark regency dresses, and more every day styles
very cute. i've been wanting to make a dress like this for a while now. any pointers? did you use a pattern? i have a pattern.
I draped this one at a workshop, I almost never use patterns. This sort of style is very simple to fit, particularly with the drawstrings, so it should be fairly easy! Good luck with yours!
Really beautiful work! You are really pretty too.
I love your dress!
